The late model MHW tails hardly look any different than stock, IMO. They don't seem to be that dark. The early model ones look much different.

That is true, tinting them yourself you would be able to get them pretty similar, unlike the early tails. That said, I have always been on the fence about the early tails, they have always looked a bit washed out/odd to me.

I think my MHW's look a HELL of a lot better than the normal late style tails. But then again this is on a white car.

Depends on your priorities.... but I say stock tails or MHWs. Don't spray tint yours, it always looks like a dog shit on your tail lights.
