I did a similar thing once in an LSU parking lot. There was an E21 parked out by itself that was in great condition. I parked my E30 next to it and left a note saying "Very nice E21. From the guy in the E30."

When I came back to my car, the E21 was gone and there were two notes on my car. The first said something like "awesome E30 M3...". The next one was my note where the guy added to it "LOL I wrote my note on your car before I even found this one you put on mine."
