other then cutting out the frame rail and fixing the rust in the back, if you like that work. Cause for 400 it could be parted out for a little more if you don't deside to fix it.

but it and part it out only. Hell the bumpers and headlights and foglights would almost make you break even alone..... The rust is just not really worth fixing on it at all. To much work when a nice no rust car can be bought for not much more. I picked up a 91 no rust 325i black/black (nice car unmolested) for $1400

The only way that car would be worth it is if you were prepping it to race in LeMons.

I agree with this guy.I would be careful buying that car, seems like it may have some crooked paperwork.I would make sure the VIN on dash matches the one on the firewall,doors,fenders,hood,trunk,ect...

its a 400 dollar e30 for christ sake!! be careful buying that car?!!!!!!!!!!?????????!!!!!!!
                  please!
you need to buy that car up for sure. if you have a little mechanical knowledge, rip the interior out of the car and bring it to a back yard shop and they should be able to weld that up for 100 bucks(if you do the prep work cheaper)
or just drive it with the rust hole, I am sure there are alot worrse cars out there than that little rust hole driving around.

if it runs buy that thing ASAP!

yes, it is def. a newer than 86 car.

Yep, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Drive it for a little, decide what it needs. If it's not worth it, part it and make $1k+

You would make that $400 back in the bumpers/apron/fogs like previously mentioned. From there, it's all profit.

                    I would buy it yesterday.

got it, its an 89 325is

well, bought it today. The guy has no idea about the engine history so i need some help, what should i replace / change maintenance wise on the engine, oil filter etc. I dont even want to drive it until i have the engine taken care of. it starts fine runs great, then i turned it off. only thing wrong is an oil leak which i think is just the gasket on the oil pan? And the only other thing i noticed was the exhaust had an unburnt gas smell? I so got a deal. still has the unused original spare in the trunk. yes body has a few rust bubbles and a couple holes, where the driver and passenger put their feet and the drivers side fender is missing a chunk at the bottom. Almost the exact same places as my 84 318i. I will def need a new fender. But back to original, if you guys could throw me a list of things to do to the engine to ensure it runs well and is in top shape that would be great.
                                cheers
                                Larry
