I never had a cam'd up 6cyl before. But i did have alot of V8's with different cams. I did have a daily driver with a .520 lift and a .305dur. But the idle was really thumpy, but i like that kind of stuff. Nevermind i did had a cam in a 6cyl. before. A Crane Cam in a 2.8 v6 s-10. I don't remember what size it was though.
the only mods, besides suspension, are mark D 93 octane 19# injector chip, 19 # injectors/ M30 AFM / bav auto longtube headers, straight single pipe exhaust...
My freind was running a shreik cam in his e30, but engine was bored out..It ran great..
So a cam wouldn't really help without engine work or what? What else do you guys suggest, I want some more power!!! (with out swapping another engine)
My M20 only has right over 100k on it, so I'd like to keep it, and really dont wanna boost.

A small cam will help but you may need stronger valve springs and maybe rocker arms, but if you want to go bigger then you'll need to do some port work and maybe bigger valves.

i agree, your next step is to decide if you want to step up to ITB's and stand alone EMS. then you throw big $$ at your car for not so big HP returns. ITB's and EMS can deff help smooth out the whole package and let you run some monster camzilla action and keep it livable for daily driving. if you do the cam swap go ahead and get a spare head have the headwork done to match your cam choice (not just hog it out) then you can swap the complet head and cam on and go. even if you stay with your stock intake system and mark D chip with the P&P head abd cam you will get some nice results. when you decide what your combo will be i'd talk to mark D about burning you a chip to fit the new combo also, that way you can max power out of it.

i have the BMP one (which is from a 96 T-bird BTW) i have hear it is possable to wire it into the factory ecu somehow. with mine you have to run a piggyback to make it work. i have heard that it doesn't give you huge gains for a fair chunck of change though. my car came with it and the dbilas ITB's so i can't tell you if it made a big difference though.
