Guys I honestly don't know what to tell you... I owned an e21 323i back in the day that was injected. Take a look on realoem and you'll see that the e21 323i was available carbureted in earlier models and then later models had a K-Jet option. Mine was an 83 323i K-jet full Euro spec car. The 320/6 or 320 (note the missing i because the 320i was a 4-cyl k-jet) so the 320/6 was carbureted and the e21 323 was carbureted but the e21 323i had k-jet. I'll be putting the motor from my 89 e30 into the e21 once the stroker is all set so it'll get an injected 2.8L m20 when it's all done. The confusion came along about what was injected, carb'd, available, and not available because all the 6-cylinder cars were 98% grey market cars to the US. Anything with short bumpers and carbureted 6-cylinder past 1978 was not able to meet emissions OR crash/bumper height tests. So to "federalize" a car you had to do a bunch of mods or to import a grey market car it was a whole different story. For the record an e21 323 was carbureted, e21 323i was injected with k-jet, e21 320 (320/6) was carbureted only and e21 320i was 4-cyl injected.I have NFC about e30's...

Hey thanks - I'll look forward to the email. I'm interested in the bumpers - but it depends on what they are worth to you. Perhaps we could work out a trade if you are in need of any e30 parts. There is a yard around here with a TON of e21's that charges a little over scrap value for the parts so we'll have to talk over email to make sure it's worth shipping stuff across the continent.I've found myself a fuel pump so whenever you are ready email me OK?Thanks - thomasjwinston AT yahoo DOT com
