Get their plate? Report them?
Overall I think that they are running a "legitimate" business. They are doing BAD business and misrepresenting their product, however, I think that they are walking the fine line of legality. It is not a violation of the law to verbally lie unless you lie while discussing the terms of a verbal contract. Also, as long as it is not in writing, you can technically get away with saying anything that you want to.

I had this shit offered to me about 10 years ago - same deal - speakers in a white van. They were making the rounds in Cincy and the same guys approached me at work, and at a grocery store about 30 minutes away near my house.
Had some glossy thing that was supposed to be an article torn out of some "high end audio magazine" raving on these $2500 speakers that they would sell me for $900. I knew the deal, played with them a little to see just how low they would go. I got them to $350 and then told them to fuck off.Current Cars2014 M235i2009 R56 Cooper S1998 M31997 M3

The only reason I bit was that I knew the hustle, and here was a "Incredible Universe" high cube rolling around Burlington, and the guys on the truck said they just got told the store was folding, and they may or may not get a last paycheck.
Poor saps were still in their bright blue shirts, and had their tags on the dash.
They asked me what all I wanted, and sure enough - big ass Infinity speakers on the truck, just like I wanted. Real infinity boxes, real infinity warrenty registration cards - whole 9.
I paid $200, and had those until I got my DefTechs in ~'02. I gave 'em to one of my buds for what I paid, & he was stoked on that deal too. He's still got them.
If anyone remembers Incredible Universe, you can believe the story. They were open less time then the preopen hype in the media.
This happened to my brother back in the mid 90's and it was these big ass Infinty home speakers as well. He told the guys to follow him across the street to my shop where I at the time had a onkyo 100w receiver hooked up for stereo in the shop(yes we jammed all day long) he told them that if he could hook them up and try them out that he might just buy a set. So they let him and they sounded better than the boses I was using for the shop. So he bought a set for $200 boxes, speakers, warranty and all and took them to his apartment and a buddy of his loved them so much that he bought them off of my brother for $500 just 5 days later !!!!

The driver jumped out and opened the side door while the passenger flashed a catalong showing a picture of the speakers with a $1400 price tag.
They went on to tell me their story about how they were delivery drivers for big audio-visual distributor who ended up with extra inventory and needed to get rid of it. Being that i used to work in logistics and most large distribution warehouses have computerized inventory tracking, I unwittingly asked the guy how they managed to do that without anyone double checking and then it hit me- These guys were running the same speaker scam that was going on back in the 80's.
Apparently 2 guys in a van drive around to shopping center parking lots claiming that they have left over equipment from their daily delivery runs and they just want to make a few bucks on the side. The truth of the matter is that this set of speakers is barely worth $14 let alone $1400 but they make their money by overpricing it at a "discount". I told the guy, "I don't buy hot merchandise" and went on about my business. As I get down the parking lot and to my E30, this pea-brain asks me, "Is that the NEW model BMW?" and I said, "ummm no.. this car is almost 20 years old." and I get in and start the car. Then the guy runs up to the side of my car (and has me blocked in with his van) and says, "Look, we can offer you a great deal on those speakers! How much will you give us?"
The guy persisted for the next 2 to 3 minutes until I asked him if I can take the speakers now and pay him later. That usually deters many street hustlers. Overall I was SHOCKED that people are still doing this. I mean with the internet and other forms of price checking, I didn't know that they were still bold enough to run this scam.

There - Indicates a location or a place. (e.g. I saw the white van over there)
Their - Denotes ownership (e.g. Fraud will kill their business)
They're - Contraction of the words "they are". (e.g. They're going get in trouble if they keep peddling those speakers.)
Ok. Now you have NO excuse for using the wrong word in the improper context.
