E30 daily driver

How many of you guys drive your E30 every day? For how many of you is this your only car?

I have a 98 Dodge 4x4 that gets about 10mpg in town. I have my M3 project that ,when finished, will never be a daily driver, and I have my old E30 beater. The truck is paid for and I know that 20 minutes after I sell it, I'll need something at Lowe's and will promptly kick myself in the ass. The old 325 is butt-ugly and has some issues. I've been thinking about selling one or both of them and buying a replacement. I also think about keeping the truck and buying an inexpensive ricer-ish car to get around in and save the truck for when it's needed.

Then there's option three. Option three is to buy a really nice, low mileage E30, $4k to $6k worth. A/C is a must. I have a nice MtechI spoiler (I think it's an MtechI), some Zender skirts, plastic bumpers, M steering wheel. I could dress it up a little, lower it too.

Let me put it another way. If you didn't actually need another car but you wanted an efficient, reliable daily driver and you had $5500 to spend, would you buy a 18 year old BMW or a 7 year old Saturn, Chevy, or Toyota. Damn it's hard to be objective about this

My car is my only car. I have been given a truck to use for work out here with Granite, but I use my car for everything - I'm driving it to Illinois the beginning of 08 - 1500 miles one way just from Boise. :D

Sell the E30 and the truck and get a toyota tacoma or something like that, an efficient truck

My 85 is my DD but i like to drive my Firebird when the weather is nice. Plus the Firebird has more power and better gas mileage. And you know soon as you sell the truck you'll need it.

I daily drive my E30, but now that I have to drive from my house to work, then school during my extended lunch break, then back to the house to feed the pets and back to finish my shift at work. I might take the E34 because I get tired of shifting, plus the wheel bearings are annoying, but not annoying enough to actually do anything about them.

I say get a new truck....Domestic's are offering so many incentives to buy a truck... my brother and father have 2005 & 2006 Chevy silverado's with the 4.8 v8 and get between 18-22 mpg depending on where there going. The lil v8 has enough guts to tow two jet ski's....fix up the ol 325, whats wrong with having 2 e30 garage queens?

I drive my 318is every day. Its my only car, but I have access to other cars so when I'm taking more than just one other person around ill usually take the explorer, or when I need to pull a trailer or do SUV stuff.

my e30 is driven only to autocrosses and back, but will most likely become my daily for a bit..

i have a 99 dodge ram 2500 td 2wd extended bed and cab and i get 22mpg on average...i say ditch the petrol truck and go diesel

Daily drive my 88 325is stripped track rat...and I love it. Picked up a $400 87 eta that I was going to fix and use as a daily driver but I have a friend whos interested so I think he will be buying it instead.
