Are you guys talking about just converting to R134 or putting in A/C with a M50?

No I just took mine out to leave myself the option of putting the system back in if I ever move to a hot climate.

Whe where talking about converting R12a systems to R134a with the retrofit kit. But the newer denso pumps are manufactered for R134a.
