I hope to get my first bike by the end of this year. Be careful though, one on my ex coworkers is paralized from the neck down.(his fault though, he was doing a nose stand and went over the top and smacked his dome on a curb breaking his neck) He's "lucky" to be alive. Have fun.

heh... heh.... heheheh..... um.... what quest for a Ti? i dunno what you're talkin about  ;)

well boys... good news... i'm gettin closer to buying this thing. i went & looked at it today & i can say that it's fuckin beautiful

comes w/ both aftermarket (installed) & stock turn signals, aftermarket (installed) & stock muffler, matching leather jacket (that's slightly too big for me, but wearable), an extra right side plastic only lightly scratched (NOT from being dropped), an extra cracked headlight that still works (the new one that's on there cost him 140 bucks) and a cover

2000 zx-6r in mint condition w/ ALL that for just 4300 bucks... shit i can't believe it  all i need is a helmet, gloves & insurance

i gave him 200 cash while i was there, i'll paypal him another 300 now to complete the 500 dollar deposit he requested. i'll be picking it up on Friday where the rest of the money will change hands... there's a DMV nearby where i can get a temp plate, and MAYBE i'll be driving it 3.5 hrs out to New York in time for my GF"s graduation (depending on weather)

i'm so friggin psyched, you guys don't even know 8)

here's the pics from the auction

So if you drop it, are you strong enough to pick it back up?

(All I can think of is Seth Green in "The Italian Job" when he dropped his and the other guy had to put it back up straight for him).

i dunno... are you fast enough to beat best my lap times at F1 boston?..... i think we ALL know the answer to that 8)

and yes, i'll be able to pick it back up... it's only 350 lbs. i could probably pick up a 450lb bike. it's just knowing how to do it... hopfully i'll never need to use that knowledge

ROB - yes, i'ts my first bike to own... but i've had my license for 3 years, ridden a few different bikes (including my roommates 00 zx-6r which i fell in love with... and now i have one of my own ) and i also definitely have a VERY HEALTHY RESPECT for this thing.. i'm bound to be a pansy the whole first season i'm riding it

Personally, (for reasons you know), I hope that you are a pansy the whole time you own it. :D I'd hate to be the fastest bitch at F1 for all the wrong reasons. Take care of yourself and keep it shiny side up.

Pete, a lil to do list:

-Do a stoppie and have your dad take a pic
-Pop a wheelie sitting on the gas tank
                          -Do a 180 stoppie
-Stand on the tank and salute at Greg next time you see him
-Do a vertical wheelie and with your legs dragging behind you....

Haha, Just don't want to see anymore torn up board members. Me i recommend taking the phase I and II courses to get a good discount on insurance and good safety pointers.

remember there are those who have been down and there are those who will be going down. Road rash hurts so keep the noggin up.

Is that a roadie saying? Seems like a cycle saying.

No it's a motorcyclist saying, and I can say I have been down and would care to never go down again.
