Is There Any Demand For A 2.93LSD?

This '89 325is Automatic which I just test drove has a 2.93LSD. Never seen one on an E30 before. Who would want a diff like that? Someone with an S50 swap? Seems to be wayyyy too high gearing, but what do I know?

    What say ye?

They came on e's. Ive not heard of an auto i car comming with that ratio, but rather a 4.10.

Yeah that sounds pretty odd for a 325is. It might be good for an S50/52 swap.

A friend of mine sold a 2.79 to a guy that was running an E46 M3 close-ratio 6-speed tranny. So I'm sure a 2.93 would be useful to someone.

No I car came with that diff so it must have been swapped.
