Ok... you guys get a partial win.

It all starts about a month back.... (dream scene music here)

I'm in my shop, and the owner comes in and kicks a box in front of the other door in my shop (which goes to another room, then to the shop next to me) and says something about people breaking in and this is an alarm. Well I never noticed anything, and I figured this was "preventative maintenance" of sorts just so people don't cut through my shop to get to his. Box was there, and I never saw it moved. So I wasn't worried.

Few weeks later he tells me he put a dead bolt on that door. Ok I think, permenant solution thats fine. I go to work, look over and see this teeny tiny little dead bolt, like you would put on a cupboard. I lol to myself, thinking yeah that will keep people out! Mainly I figured if the door didn't move it would deter people from cutting through. Well I look closer and the part that bolts to the frame was just ripped off, like someone opened it anyways. So I look around my shop, inventory my shit, nothing is missing. So I think thats odd, if someone deliberately broke in you would think they would take something, or have a reason for breaking in. He was gone, so I thought I would bring it up with him next time I saw him.

Now comes today, I had the m3 out and was working on it at school, I head to my shop to drop it off again. Well as I am pulling up I see a sheriff in the ditch infront of his house, thats odd... as I am looking at that turning into the driveway another SUV cop hauls ass in, cuts me off, and almost makes me crash into him. Its then I see not 1, not 2, not 3, but FIVE fucking sheriffs and HPs in his front yard. 7 total... In front of one I see a motorcycle, like he hit it. Since his house is over run with cops, I'm like fuck this and go home.

Well, on the way home I start thinking about it. And the people that rent the shop next to me are always working on motorcycles, so I just assume one of them tried to run from the cops for whatever reason.

Just now I go back to put my m3 in. All the cops are gone and I see the guy I rent from in his shop. So I go up and asked him wtf happened. He tells me "sshhh" and takes me into his shop. He then says that the on of the guys next to me tried to outrun the cops. He pulled in and ditched the bike (cop hits it) and takes off. As he is running he is tossing little bags full of white powder out of his pockets. Cops get the dogs, recover the drugs, and he gets to go to county lockup. Now his buddy just rolled in, and is in his shop and doesn't know any of this happened. I'm still not sure whats happening with him.

Anyways, they are all getting kicked out, so it will just be me and the owner on the property.

This all makes me think, if they kept going into my shop there has to be a reason. They weren't stealing anything, which means they must be putting something in there. So I am wondering if I have a nice little drug stash hidden somewhere in my shop. The door is all boarded up now, and no one is getting through. Either that or they wanted an escape plan to get out on the other side, with all the shops linked together its a pretty big maze, if they cut through my space they can come out on the other side of the building.

Anyways, I'm gonna go drug huntin tomorrow, maybe I can make a hefty profit ;)

Note to self, m3 and guys next door throwing bags of a white substance, rent a storage from a big place and park the car there. No more druggies and m3's.

        Wait!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got it...

Maybe they where building a drug storage "hidden compartment" under the drivers side passenger side floorboard. Check the m3 first. Or, maybe they got the drugs they where throwing from your compartment...

And in case your wondering your insurance does not cover cost of damage caused by a drug search.

But you don't have this shop insured, and I'm sure that guy is not insured for renting his shop out. So who is responsible?

I'm not trying to be contradictory and shit, just wondering. I'd be scared to leave a valueable car there.

You might want to look at your homeowners' policy. If it has a motor, it's not covered on homeowners in WA. Not even your lawnmower.

This came to light for me when I had a R6 streetbike - without a specific declaration & rider policy, it's all about your comprehensive to pick up the tab. Your car, your motor toys, your lawnmower - not covered.

You need to set up a policy & submit serial #'s & get it set up ahead of time if you want to cover a quad, guns, or even high-end stereo gear you won't accept generic like-kind, like performance dollar value for.

For example, without documentation your Pioneer Elite 54" tv is given the same dollar value as a median price 54" HDTV by insurance industry standards.

Take pics of all your serial numbers, model numbers, receipts, & anything else you want that exact item/ dollar value replacement for.

Trade that content with your best friend. That way if your house burns down you still have the contents on media & won't get hosed by your insurance company.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

normaly they would cover a lawn mower and a wheel chair unless you have a basic policy. Motor driven whether electric or combustion are excluded under all loss except for special circumstances. For example, you have a broken down vehicle on bricks and your storing stuff in the trunk. you ask a buddy to grab some parts out of the trunk and it slams on his hand and breaks it. Your liabilty coverage would kick in but it would not cover the vehicle itself. Normally home policys are named peril policys. Meaning if it does not say its specifically covered then its not. Your auto insurance is the exact opposite. Unless it specifiaclly says its not covered, then its covered.

I shudder just to think of that. Get your Pioneer Elite stolen and end up with a fucking pile of shit Vizio from Costco.
