Without some form of documentation, that's exactly what happens in WA state. Check OR laws, and document your toys.
Luckily my insurance agent has been the same guy since I was 16, so he's always willing to sit down with me & explain this stuff until I have useless info coming out my ears. It's not like I'm going to drag up & quit using him. People chase every last dollar over insurance, but he's one of those 3rd party vendors who deals with ~20 companies, so he picks whatever company has been the best fit for me over time. I'm far more concerned with what my insurance coverage is than what the last little dollar I pay per month is.
Equate - you might just look at what a renter's policy will run you. I had space in a warehouse 10 years back, and I got a bond that even included 'Acts of God' (didn't care) - but it was just under $20 per month, and had a fixed payout of $50K.
