High Speed Internet

Yes!! Finally going to get high speed internet for my house this Thursday. No more dial up. No more waiting for pictures to load. No more HASSELS. I cant wait. And if I didnt already speed too much time on the net... :D

Oh yea well I'm connected at 14.4 :P
They don't have high speed internet out where I live yet, so the best connection I get out of my 56k modem is 14.4.
My computer is a piece anyways so I just stick to the computers at school.

I have Cable now before that i had DSL but parents decided to go with Cable and i have no laptop BUT i have wireless internet on my peice of shit desktop.

Cable actually is faster then DSL well atleast in my area.

Comcast High Speed Internet is what i have i beileve.

I havent had DSL, but my family has that Charter Pipeline cable moden thing, it works very well. I think that cable is better then DSL. But what do I know.

in residential situations, it seems that Cable owns DSL. at least what I've seen

DSL is only as good as how close you are to the source. If you happen to live like a block away from the provider, it rocks. But if not, cable is WAY faster.

Eurospeed is correct. THe closer you are to the C/O/ with DSL the better speed you get. There is also a new set of Fiber lines going in all over the place. I am 1080ft from the C.O on a fiber line. I get better throughput then my nieghbor on Roadrunner cable modem.

Comcast was the only thing offered in my area. I still think Comcast cable will be much better than dial up. Plus, if there are any hassels, it is not my responsibility. :D Thats what the parents are for.:up:
