Can't wait to see her - you should be thanking your lucky stars the body/shop is willing to work with you, or it would be small claims court time(not a bad idea?)

I'm sure no one has to tell you to check that car over REAL good after it's respary before you take it home!

    Good news man! Congrats!

Body shops always seem to take twice as long as they originally quote ;)

Hopefully this isn't the case, i'd like to see that car at the picnic!

2k isnt that much for a paint job. paint alone can cost 500 or more. anyway, good luck with your situation.

Well I must say I am very happy with the bodyshop.

I took the car in, and with that list showed the manager everything on the list (where it was on the car) Basicly It came down to I was happy with the paint on the roof, and that was about it. He was actually quite upset that so much crap had slipped out of the shop unoticed. He took some notes and told me to come back in a few days and he would let me know what he decided.

I went back yesterday and talked to him. He decided to warranty the respray of the car (the portions they did last time anyways) for free. The only portion I will have to pay to have painted (of that painted last time) is the roof.

So I am having them respray the entire car, and paint seperately (off the car)

            Front bumper
            Front valance
            Infinity lip
            Sideskirts (on the car)
            Rear bumper/apron
            M-Technic II wing

I spent most of this morning stripping the front valance down to nothing but bare metal. That textured crap is gone, and its primered and smooth. Looks great.

Anyways, I'm going to be busy all weekend finishing up the work that still needs to be done to the valance and rear apron. I'm dropping the car off at the shop I used to work at Monday the 24th to have the Brullen welded up. I'll pick it up Tuesday the 25th after work, then strip the car of everything that isn't being painted. Wednesday the 26th the car is going into the paint shop.

Gonna be a busy and stressful week!

If I brought a shop a completely gutted car with work already done, i'd want a pretty good job for $2k...

Hope it all works out for you.

EDIT: didn't see your last post. Good news on the respray!
