Oops, I didn't look at the year of his car. I have no idea how to do the swap on an '87, but I could learn. :)

If its the 325iC listed in his tag, then its exactly the same as what you did on your '88. The Cabrios have the later stlye lower rear wheel arches, so the bumper swap is a simple bolt-off, bolt-on job. You have to get a little creative with the side mounts in the rear, but other than that, its a 2 out of 10 on a difficulty scale.
