They last longer than AVS ES100s. That's all I know.

Then again, what DOESNT last longer than AVS ES100s

Oh well... I never heard complaints from those tires, but I stand corrected then.

uhh, yeah. want to see my tires? 13k and they're toast. that said, they're pretty grippy in their current condition. :P

I'm sure SO-3s wear faster, but they're also a superior tire to begin with.

High performace summer rubber isnt made to last a extra extra long time....

I got 15k miles out of my SO-3's before the wear bars were wearing.
5k miles later the tread was completely gone, and I basicly had slicks.

They get reaaaaally loud when the tread wears out, but that can also be said of any hi-performance tire.

I have a set. I like them, but I dont really have anyting to compare them to as far as performance tires go. They do seem to be wearing down fairly quickly, but my driving habbits arent the most forgiving.

Overall, there not a bad tire.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but any opinions on the Potenza G009s?

I was actualy going to buy Parada's in 205/45/r16 but tire rack wouldn't sell them to me as the load rating was to low, the only way they'd work for me would be 225/45/r16. But I don't think I can squeze 225 under the fenders so I went with AVS Es100's I've only had them on the car for one day and will be giving them a nice shake down tommorow to see how I like them.

                      couldnt have said it better

also check the treadwear, the lower the better the tires are, but doesnt last as much as other ones with higher treadwear.

I have gone through two sets of paradas.215/40/17 .I had Spec I and Spec II tires. Both offer decent wear.Expect to replace them at about 15-18k miles with a sane driver. My brother gets about 2-3k on his rears since he is always lighting them up.He stopped after 2 rear sets in 6 months.

Spec II is MUCH quieter than Spec I.Both are REALLY good in the rain.Kind of hard to judge dry traction during hard acceleration because its a skinny tire to begin with but it hooks up nicely despite its tread pattern.Where it really shines is sidewall strength. They protect the wheel from curb rashThey have very little flex when taking really hard turns.I like that feeling..some dont.

225/45 will work with 5mm spacers and an et35 rim

I'm running on 225/45R16 in the front without fender rubbing

I have the Spec 2's and really like them. I'll be doing my second driving school on them Saturday.
