Reason why all these new technologies are being added? S :o imply because other car makers will have them and BMW needs to come up with the same bells and whistles to be competetive.

I'm 19 and Ryan isn't that old either.... we are just acting like old men....

and when the E60 comes out, he is driving a M5 and I bet you money he has no idea what my M3 is. And that is sad.... M drivers are not enthuasists since the E36 M3 was mass produced... this is what you get..

If I had money, I would purchase a E30 M3 DTM Gruppe A touring car. You have your right to your opinion, no argument in that and BMW is a leader in technology but BMW and their ///M brand has go more towards Audi and Mercedes, pleasing their 'guppy' consumers, not enthuasists. Of course comparing E60 M5 technology to E34 M5 technology is comparing a 84 F1 car with 1000hp to a 04 Shumacher's Ferrari. Times change and BMW changed the way they produce cars. Newer technology doesn't always mean better products. What I am trying to get at is that BMW *used* to be a drivers car. Porsche is a drivers car. The E46 3 series is not a drivers car. The E30 325i is a drivers car. (My opinion of course)
          I agree.

But you wouldn't have that new BMW somewhere in that garage of yours from a driveability standpoint? I know I would

I'd rather have that then anything. :)

Not really... I am more of a hard ass BMW enthuasist... I like RAW cars... The older M and BMW cars are RAW... From the 02 to the E34... those are RAW cars...

And Alex, yes 780hp to the ground is nice but if you saw his videos (which I know you did) he has problems with getting that much power to the ground... what fun is having 780hp when you can't use it?

Exactly how I am. BMW's aren't performance enthusiast cars anymore. Their heyday as performance icons ended in the mid-90's.

We are all in our twenties (with a few exceptions) and yet we are like fogies. I blame the American market. People want cushy cars.

Sadly my dad has a 330Cic Sport, M3 Cabrio, Chevelle Malibu Convertible, and an MV Agusta F4 and that asshole keeps stealing my car when I am at his house and leaving me with the damn 330. The only time I consider wanting those cars is when I am on a date and I prefer the Chevelle.
                      Im now E30less.

Malibu's fucking rock man. I got to drive a Karmann- Ghia today though, top down, brand new condition. That! Made me think twice about my E30...

Could't agree more. I met a guy with an M3 the other day, we were talking about it, i asked him why he bought it.
