BTW. If the iDrive sucks so bad then why did Audi and Mercedes follow the concept? BMW is revolutionary and that’s all there is to it. A BMW is a BMW and as an enthusiast myself, I feel I have to support everything they do. All I can say is that if we had the money and new BMWs were within are realm, then the things said about them would be different. Yes, all older BMWs are nice and an e30 will always be in my garage no matter what the income, but if I have the money, a new one will be in that garage too. Everyone else who is a BMW enthusiast would do the same too. I guarantee it.

I'd rather an Alpina B10 BiTurbo than an E34 M5. But it's a moot point, as i think the E60 is ruthless. The M5 continues to get better and better.

If I had money, I would purchase a E30 M3 DTM Gruppe A touring car. You have your right to your opinion, no argument in that and BMW is a leader in technology but BMW and their ///M brand has go more towards Audi and Mercedes, pleasing their 'guppy' consumers, not enthuasists. Of course comparing E60 M5 technology to E34 M5 technology is comparing a 84 F1 car with 1000hp to a 04 Shumacher's Ferrari. Times change and BMW changed the way they produce cars. Newer technology doesn't always mean better products. What I am trying to get at is that BMW *used* to be a drivers car. Porsche is a drivers car. The E46 3 series is not a drivers car. The E30 325i is a drivers car. (My opinion of course)

Yes. In fact I would rather have an inline 6 multi throttle S38 over the V8 400hp engine. That 400hp isn't putting 400hp to the grown. The car is a tank. The E34 is heavy but compared to the E39 and the E60, tanks.

My dad has the money and he wont be buying one. Also AUDI isnt copying Idrive. There system is completely different and is soo much better. It integrates the higher Check control type functions and the DVD but you can still control simple features like the radio the old fashioned way.

I still state the panel gaps and the loose leather on the doors disgust me. 50k for that, hell no.

E39 was my fav, great overall car. I wouldnt mind a V8 E34 M5 tho....

I still think the sexiest car EVER for modern BMW is the E38. I will have one with the Alpina air dam and wheels (classic, the new ones are fugly).

On the V8 vs I6 I agree though. I would love to see the new M3 get a larger I6 instead of a V8. A big S38 style engine with modern technology could still make 400.

man you haters are nuts.. even the regular E60 is a nice looking car. I had my doubts about the tailights, but they look badass at night when they are lit up.. I think the 5 is the best design out of all the new ones, followed closely by the Z4.
