If BD is going with the idea it's an OEM roof (I'm not sure I can guess from that pic), then it would really be worth a second visit, and to slide the roof back half ways or fully & get a shot of the rail the panel of glass slides on & the metal skin of the roof, at the edge where it meets the glass.
No doubt it had a water leak, but even a OEM roof could do that with the drains plugged - so just the inner shot doesn't say much & the other one isn't up close enough.
If you can get a detail shot for illustration purpose of the inner guts of the roof while open, that will tell all.
But like you said, if you get a bad feel & it just seems like a car that is more work than you want to tackle, then pass & let one of the more experienced guys take a shot at it.
It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.
