What wheels should I get for the widebody

Well its almost time to get some wheels on the widebody. I am looking at a 17x8.5-9 in the front and 17x10-12 in the rear. I dont have a ton of money to spend on wheels so something like HRE's are out of the question. I have been looking at Volk te-37's, SSR Competitions, and all sorts of Advan's. If anyone one has any other recommendations I would appreciate it. I am going to be running a 5x114.3 lug pattern with a 3ish offset in the front and a 15ish offset in the rear.

I am going custom. I talked to a local machine shop, and they can drill a 5x114.3 into the stock hubs and then tap to allow some studs to be put in. I know that if it is at all off it would vibrate BUT, the wheels are going to be hubcentric so if it was off just a little it wouldent matter you see. This is not completely definate yet. I am going to get one hub setup and a wheel and make sure everything goes smooth before I spend all this money on wheels.

            Fikse.

A bit much, but can be made in any size to your tastes. Cheaper than HRE's.

Or the ultimate BBS RS wheel. Nico custom makes them, but they do run high.

Hummm....the hub on the e30 is really small, much much smaller than any 5 lug hub I have ever seen. Just for kickes I tried putting one of my e34 m5 wheels on the 4 lug hub of the e30...no way in the world you could ever redrill that and have it work, the brakes didn't even clear the hub of the wheel, not to mention the hole in the center of the wheel was way bigger than the hubcentring ring on the e30 hub. So I guess I'm saying I wouldn't expect just any 5xs114.3 wheel to bolt up to that without lots of reasearch or trying it first. Good luck. I'm looking forward to seeing the widebody done.

I'll Second that. Even redrilling a E34/36 hub is dodgy, if you take a look at the casting it is built up where the holes are to give more threads to use.

Easy way to do it would be, 5 Lug conversion using E36 parts, then run E34 offset wheels, piece of cake.
You will need to mod the body inside the front wheel well, or you will have serious body rubbing issues.

                      All good fun though.

Interesting, I still have not pulled a hub off and checked the exact specs, this is all just what I thought might be a possible alternative to the e36 swap.
