What's there to say? Meh - that's my only response. I like Estoril - but that's about all I have to say about that.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

I worked for Imagine Auto and having dealt with a lot of 944's and their owners unless you can budget about $2k+ a year for maintence (maintence IE not modding) than a 944 is not for you. They require maintence and a lot of it to keep it running in tip top shape. 951's get stupid expensive, it was an idea for me but that was about it.

You used to work at Imagine Auto? Karl is a good guy over there.

Yep, I worked at Imagine Auto. Porsche Drivers/owners dont play nicely with Bimmer owners so thats why its "worked at Imagine Auto". I didnt mind working with Dee and Alex though, they were a lot more down to earth.

Karl has a nice 951, and he is one of the most knowledgeable Porsche enthusiasts in the country next to the owner Mr. Kaspar. But ask Karl how much a year he spends on maintaining his 944.

Yeah, I'm thinking it might be a better idea to finish the e30 project and enjoy the crap out of that for awhile. I could probably do that for $6000 or less and in the end I would still have a fast, decent handling german car...

Smart man. Cash is king, and there's always a "sweet deal" or a place to burn your cash if you change your mind.

I don't know the stats on appreciation for 944's - but at least a E30 M3 has the ability to return most money spent compared to most any other purchase. Even the swap ones seem to sell for a decent amount over the standard body ones.

Keep what you have, if your buddy's 944t blows your mind then have fun & get it - otherwise keep your eye on the goal of a E30M3 - as well as being a bitchin' cool car it has the ability to hold its' value.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

I'm surprised the Porsche kings did not know this information about the 997

                          I thought there wasnt a 997 gt3rsr...

i may be mistaken...but im pretty sure thats what pca has the car classified as in the roster list they have. maybe they have it wrong or maybe i misread it. i have plenty more pics of the car and if you dont believe me you dont its not gonna ruin my day. that is his car and im actually in the picture with the yellow hat on.

after seeing those two pics im pretty convinced that it is a 996. it should have came to my mins because the 997s have those lights underneath the headlights where the 996s didnt
