Also in the future be aware that I could run it through my shop and charge you $50 hourly like I do my trade/fleet accounts .
Or I can always do it personally on the evening/weekend for like $150 per hour . :D

Still have the black '89 ?
To add to that, I wanted to see if you had a flywheel to bring along/sell and whatever else I could buy used that you might happen to have.

12-15 hours. Thats a long ass time. my dad removed the rear subframe on a hoist w/o a tranny stand, replaced all four axle boots, pressed out the bushing by hand, filed the bushing holes by hand, flushed the differential, installed ss brake lines and flushed, heat painted my rotors, changed my oil, replaced my subframe mounts, and replaced my shifter bushings in 10 hours. All this with a bad elbow.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

okay.. after the drive to school and then home my conclusion: pads are a tad loud, but i assume they are still breaking in; pedal isn't as firm as i would have thought, but the brakes are atleast 5x better than they were before, so i suppose i am happy; the rear finally feels solid, and almost makes the car feel faster.
and teaguer, i've just been putting off the swap, it's not that i won't pay for it. i've got to do my tune-up, wheels/tires, and then i will be able to dish out the 1k for the swap, say sometime in spring? gotta get the Z3 3.0 ssk with new bushings and such before i am ready though.

The kid is getting shafted and he does not know any better , hell look at how his friends treat him .
A legit shop will only charge what the book time is on the job, no matter if it takes twice as long or half as long .
Oh and it sounds like the guy also did brakes and some other crap .
Maluco , if you have access to the shop on a full Sat or Sat & Sunday then Yes I can do it at your shop .
Also I have plenty of flywheels that I could supply .
Send me a pm or call me with what all you have and what all you think you need .
PS : I'm not pushing you to do it .....just get your shit in gear and you let me know when you are ready .Last edited by Teaguer; 10-16-2007, 08:08 PM.
