      $4200 for a 325e with nearly 200k and a crusty-penny paint job? I don't get it...

It's very common for any magazine featured cars to sell for more than they are worth.

That's what my buddy does all day long, fix up cars, get them featured somewhere, and then sell them using that feature.

I knew this post was gonna happen sometime.

Yeah I'm selling it... and some of the comments in this thread are why you don't see a for sale ad on r3v. ;)

It is an e, yes. It's in solid shape physically and mechanically, and has always been well maintained. It's 21+ years old, so yeah, it has over 100k. It's got a bunch of custom work, which isn't the kind r3v users usually go for or find value in.

Anyone can buy an E30 nowadays. Will it be cheaper than mine? Possibly. Will it need work? Yes. More than most people can handle. Will it have good paint? Probably not. If it is cheaper, in better shape, and has good paint, it will still cost you around 2500 to get it where mine is. There is some method to my mayhem, people. I'm not trying to screw anyone, but I'm not trying to toss the keys to the first guy who offers me a mayonnaise jar full of nickels and some burger king gift certifs.

What will I drive in its place? Well, I just bought an '04 R32. Everybody calm down... I was looking for an M car but the price on the R was unreal, and I figured by selling off my other cars & wheel sets I could knock the price down enough to pay the bastard off in a few years. Then I can buy the M I want and have a silly fanboy me-too civic Si blue fancy bodykitted poser machine to drive daily.

              Defy my logic and perish.

edit: haha WTF how/when did my username title change!

I think your car has more value than 4,200. Sadly, I can't act on that. pics of the r32?

Bone mothereffing stock for now, on oversized tires even.

But not at bad deal for 10K under blue book with clean paint, straight body, a few mods, and low miles. ;)

It's going into the body shop in the next few weeks for the winter, too much "business" all over the car that needs to be dispatched with. Then coils and wide 18s. You know the drill.

                              Where are you located?

Car is hot, most people get butt-hurt when a car does not look the way they think they should. Props for crossing the line and not giving a flying fuck.
