There it is. It's the truth.

I don't think it will sell for THAT much, but you'll get a good price for it.

Sure, makes total sense. Lose out on all prospective buyers on R3VLimited because you fear they may have an opinion that differs from yours!

Yeah I'm selling it... and some of the comments in this thread are why you don't see a for sale ad on r3v. ;)

It is an e, yes. It's in solid shape physically and mechanically, and has always been well maintained. It's 21+ years old, so yeah, it has over 100k. It's got a bunch of custom work, which isn't the kind r3v users usually go for or find value in.

Anyone can buy an E30 nowadays. Will it be cheaper than mine? Possibly. Will it need work? Yes. More than most people can handle. Will it have good paint? Probably not. If it is cheaper, in better shape, and has good paint, it will still cost you around 2500 to get it where mine is. There is some method to my mayhem, people. I'm not trying to screw anyone, but I'm not trying to toss the keys to the first guy who offers me a mayonnaise jar full of nickels and some burger king gift certifs.

What will I drive in its place? Well, I just bought an '04 R32. Everybody calm down... I was looking for an M car but the price on the R was unreal, and I figured by selling off my other cars & wheel sets I could knock the price down enough to pay the bastard off in a few years. Then I can buy the M I want and have a silly fanboy me-too civic Si blue fancy bodykitted poser machine to drive daily.

        Defy my logic and perish.

edit: haha WTF how/when did my username title change!

I fucking miss my old 04 r32, it was such a great all in one type of car. Great daily, great fun car. Have fun with it man!

Hahaha. Yeah, the guy whose car is purposefully oxidized like an oversized garden ornament is scared of what people think. That's gotta be it!

Thanks, it's definitely a change from the E30. The first week adjusting to all the "amenities" was rough. Digital this, power that, that whole extra gear thing, heh.

Look into upgrading the awd computer, there are a couple different versions, then engine mounts and tires. The eagle f1 tires if they are still on the car have really soft sidewalls , and bubble easily.

Other than brake fluid car didn't need a thing to be competitive on the track and in autox, I finished in 2nd place in 05 locally in DS. One if the local HPDE instructors sold his and got a 335i, and his lap times in the r32 were still faster... If you do hard take offs, do it hard enough to brake traction at all 4 otherwise you'll need clutch. I've had multiple 5k clutch drops where it's just enough to spin all 4 for a little bit and shoots you off ;)

You'll love it, sounds like you got it for a good price too. I sold mine for more than I paid for it brand new but still regret it..

this car is a work of art. I think its a great price for someone who is into setting up a car with a great stance and some individuality. Too bad it isn't an i.

Well. The way I see it is that whoever buys it will be saving the car from my next 2 rounds of mods, thus preserving the original look.

next round: satin black trim/shadowline/kidneys, satin black shaved euro bumps, satin black 16" staggered Porsche Clubsports with copper crests, MHW smoked tails, even lower. I had almost everything needed for this before I ran out of steam.

round after: robins egg blue paint, chrome shadowline/divingboards/kidneys, silver 16" staggered Porsche Phonedials with OEM painted crests, airride, clear smileys, red tails, externally mounted oil cooler.

I still have both sets of porsche wheels, and I'm selling them, but if I see either set on an E30 that I'm not driving I may just kill myself.

Wait... is that paint or just unwashed powder? Makes it look soooooo dirty. Yet there's a pic or two with that crap not on it. I'm confused....
