ehh, my dad owns a 97 540, its fast as hell, but as far as the driving experience goes, I fell very difsconnected with the road in the 540 compared to my e30, and all those new electronic devices scare me :-)

BS87, you're getting confused. S52 is the US OBD-II Variant of the S50. IT just so happened when they made it OBD-II, they also added 0.2L, thus people get confused. In Europe, there were the S50B30 and S50B32. The US had the S50B30US and S52B32.My mountains are better than yours.

However, the M roadster did get the newer engine in 2000 or was it 2001. One of my friends is obsessed with them and like the 1999 has 240hp (S52), but the 2000/2001 had 315hp. (S54 right? same classification, just different intake/exhaust?)
