ehh, my dad owns a 97 540, its fast as hell, but as far as the driving experience goes, I fell very difsconnected with the road in the 540 compared to my e30, and all those new electronic devices scare me :-)

No such thing. Oh well, have fun with the 540. Im thinking about a 5'er but just to compliment the E30.
Doesn't Blunt have a Euro S52? or is it non euro?
No euro motor was ever name S52

BS87, you're getting confused. S52 is the US OBD-II Variant of the S50. IT just so happened when they made it OBD-II, they also added 0.2L, thus people get confused. In Europe, there were the S50B30 and S50B32. The US had the S50B30US and S52B32.

While we're slightly OT....does the US 1999 M3 have the S52B32? Did it have 240hp or 320hp? I'm not familiar with the US powered M3's.....thanks!

                  Nope. Same engine, S52.

However, the M roadster did get the newer engine in 2000 or was it 2001. One of my friends is obsessed with them and like the 1999 has 240hp (S52), but the 2000/2001 had 315hp. (S54 right? same classification, just different intake/exhaust?)
