So, you're interested in making an indestructable lip?

where the fuck is there deep water on the highway?

            ^In flood plains.

I used the normal clips, but drilled two holes and used some zip ties. In theory if it ever came unclipped the zip ties would keep it from getting run over until I can stop and re clip it.

All brand new clips should hold the lip perfectly, very strong. unless the mounting points on your lip itself are broken.

zip tie the clips to the valance, insert the lip into the clips like normal.

the problem is the clips themselves come out of the valance.. those little pins don't take much force to pop out.

Zip ties are the way to go. If you hit something, they'll break before the lip will. And you won't tweak your valene all to shit. That's how my Reiger is mounted.
