I can think of only one thing crazier than a turbo M30 in an e30....a turbo M30 in an e21!

But please keep me posted on the mounts as well. I have a M102 that needs to go into a car, and if I can't squeeze it into my e21, then I'll be stuffing it into one of the e30s.

Is that flywheel good for any m30?

I believe so this one has the magnet for the motronic sensor.

You're using the early m30 right?
The late m30 doesn't have a use the motronic sensor on the tranny bell housing does it?

No I believe after 1988 they started reading off the crank in front so you should be able to use any big six flywheels on those motors.

Unless it's differant in the US car's the e34's crank sensor are by the front pully or it is on my 88' e34 535 m30.

E28 m30's have a brace for the inlet manifold that bolt's on to the rocker cover and the e34's inlet manifold brace bolt's on to the block.

Good, that's what I suspected. Is that just for the speed sensor? what about the reference sensor?

On the E 28 both readings are taken from the two censors on the bell housing. E 34 all readings are taken from the front of the motor.(not 100% sure on the e34)
