I'm in the same boat with you. I recently bought an RS4 3 SS with a ton of aluminum parts used. It's got a .15 engine in it, but I just broke the pull start on it...trying to get ahold of HPI to order a new one. I was into the electric ones pretty big in high school, but this is my first nitro, so it's kind of like starting all over again.

na, the spring somehow snapped. I tried to rebend it but it kept snapping. HPI lists it as $18, so I'm just going to get it from them.-Brandon

There easy to fix, or you could convert it to a bump stop starter. I loved the way my BMT 1/8th scale would start you just press it down on the box and bingo the engine is started no pulling involved.
Dang you Rob you're making me want to take My Junkyard funds and buy another rc-car :evil:85 325e 2.7 ITB'd stroker

True I just love the smell of Burning nitro
My next car will probally be an Electric though, I've had bad problems with them in the past. Like Melting a ECU, I stuck a 12 T double motor in a Traxxas stampede and drove it for 10 mins straight in tall grass. The ecu started smoking and died. Latter I cracked it open and it had split some of the compents in half and oozed white gell all over the boardI was in Texas for a week with my dad with nothing to do So I got the truck at a hobby shop assembled it and terrorized the workers at the building he was at untill it died.

Rob was in Japan and is still there he bought three so I got one he got one and he Sold one at nearly cost.
Ask the gent who's stationed in Okinawa if he has access to these. He should, but he's new here. Anyone no him from another board? Because when I was stationed in Japan (Honshu) There was not that many BMW's running around there and they were both right and left hand drive.

Its in Japanese, but if he can find someone to read it for him it will be all he needs. They had 3 locations in Japan (of course, I went to the Tokyo one).
Here is a list of all dealers of Tamiya in Japan (again in Japanese):
