    E34: wagon vs. sedan?

So I heard of an e34 wagon for sale that I wouldn't mind going after. I love wagons; so much room (I snowboard, play hockey, roadbike, and work on car/bike projects, so they're perfect). Buuuut sedan's are definitely hotter.

my current car is a black e34 sedan, 5 sp, very nice shape. black on tan, w/h&r sports, bs sports, and m5 t stars. I like it, but I'm thinking a nicely done e34 touring would be pretty hot too. the touring I'm thinking of is also black.

anyone have any pics of hawt e34 wagons? comments (if you have an e34 wagon, things like the dual sunroofs, sls, etc?)

any pics of a black e34 wagon with throwing stars would be great too, as I'd probably want to keep my rims

        +1 fo sho.

With all due respect, the E34 sedan is a great looking car (me wubs the E34 M5 el mucho)....but the wagon *cough* touring *cough* is more unique IMHO. Some folks may not be totally keen on all that glass, but like you mentioned they are hugely practical for so many things. Definately a great all-'rounder.

Seen some really nice m5 tourings. I think you should go for the wagon.

i forgot to add; whichever one I end up with will eventually get an s5x (my e30 touring will get the first s5x).

I guess I'm just a bit wary as I already have an e30 touring, but the damn things are just so practical it makes sense

i remember reading an article in motor trend about seven years ago about a company in texas who did m5 conversions.

I used to own a 93 blk/blk 5-spd 535i perfect condition, and a 92 525it with a shit paint job and a auto gear box. Guess which I still have? The Touring wins everytime for me. For some reason it just drives perfectly. Not to mention I can haul tons of shit from Lowe's or the track, ect.

to me wagons will always be infinately better than any other body style. Not only are they more practical, they suffer very little weight difference between their sedan counterparts, and when you've got something under the hood no one ever expects it.

That and I've always liked the proportions more than sedans, which always seem to long and truncated to me.

you already have an E30 touring. do you really need 2 wagons? I say keep what you have.

                        That's another big consideration.

However, in addition to that; the e34 touring would be a dd. the e30 touring will NEVER see winter. So, in the summer I have a fun dd that can haul shit (e30 wagon). The rest of the time, I sacrifice storage space and convenience by driving a sedan.

lol. I just typed e34.de into my browser. mmmm

I know of two E34 Nurburgring edition M5 in DC. Both are serviced by RRT. As a matter of fact one just got a Supercharger added in the springtime. I was ogling and Barry said back away from it. Lol.
