How much do you pay for insurance?

I got a question for all you e30 owners...

How much money per month is it for you to insure your e30?

please list your age, car, and insurance company.

Thanks alot... just trying to get an idea of what everyone pays. :)

25+ catagory does rule, but married and over 25 rules even more. I can't speak on it, since I'm not married, hehe. Full coverage, 1 speeding ticket in 10 years, no accidents, $515/ 6 months. Funn thing is, I checked for a 2004 Mitsubishi Evo, and it goes up only to $545.00/ 6 months. Hmmmm....

Just did some major changes. I'm back on my parents plan.

We pay $4002 a year. This includes full coverage on:

                    1995 540i (54 year old male)
                    2004 Lexus Rx330 (53 year old female)
                    1988 325is (20 year old male)

I have two moving violations. My cost is $1655 per year and that is what I am responsible for.

                    This is with Liberty Mutual.

I just received a quote from Twenty First Century for $3000 a year. However this quote was for a solo plan (just me) with my two moving violations and a 2001 BMW 330i as the fully insured vehicle. I'm calling my agent at Liberty mutual tomorrow to see what my cost is under my parents plan if I swap my 1988 325is for a 2001 330i sedan.

For the -89 325iX $80 / month which is more than just liability.. half coverage is what it basically means. For my Volvo 142 it's $20 / month with only liability.

                          25 years old, $150 / 6 mo. for liability

I think full coverage is a waste for those of us with $10k - $15k invested, considering the blue book is dirt on these our cars. Anyone have any experience with custom policies or appraisers?

keep your recipts... if you can prove your car was worth that much... but if you get it apraized then your insurance would go up

I try to keep all of the receipts. I asked my insurance agent about insuring for say an extra $10k, but it didn't sound like that would fly. He suggested getting it appraised, that way I could have more leverage in getting more money if it was wrecked, but it didn't sound like it would cost more. I wouldn't have a clue where to get it appraised at through. There are a couple of auto appraisers in the phone book, but I would think they would specialize more in typical American classic cars, rather than an old BMW with mostly under-car modifications or rare European parts.
