I'm a State Farm agent, and my boss came into my office today showing me a printshot of a clients 1989 325ic. He asks "How much do you think this is worth in prime condition w/ 120k on the clock?"
"Um... in prime, $7k. Good condition $4-5k."
My boss starts saying some incredible words; "Well, she's had this car for a long time, and she went to trade it in and was told she could only get $500 for it. Would you pay $1000?"

...Needless to say, I'm going down to see the lady in the next few days. I'll offer her $1000 on the spot, see if she takes it ;) If not, I would still do a little negotiating depending on the condition. With only 120,000 miles I wouldn't think it'd be in poor shape.
It's a 1989 325ic Convertible in Alpine white. So then I'd have two Apline white E30's, one a 4 door and one a convertible....
Am I nuts for thinking about picking up a 2nd one? I mean, that's a steal of a deal! And would ROCK come summertime!:pimp:
