Besides that, they look cheap in the low light with that cheesy-looking brand name sown in. I dunno, just looks like....
How do they look cheap? And if it is in fact Tom's Motorsport; then cheesy is not a word I would use to describe the seat.

      Tj,

As said before; they look good but don't know much about them. If it was me, I would take the risk and get them. Not many people will have them and at least the seats don't look ugly, like most other fake seat designs. If you get them, and don't like them, maybe I'll trade for my Sparco Speeds. ;) *If your interested in gaining 4lbs*

they look alright, although i'd say its a bad picture if those seats are supposed to be black cloth. are you getting a harness with it, or are you gonna re-mount the current receptical and use factory seat belts?

I said it was hard to tell because of the bad pictures, but the name looked smashed together like it was a knockoff. It reminded me of the replica seats Matt325is got and they had bad threads if I remember correctly.

It'd probably be hard to tell fabric quality in the pictures, but it doesn't look good in these.

for $250, Its definately not full carbon. I'd be wary of "tom's" seats on ebay. very wary.

I don't like it, not for a street e30 and for Auto Cross sometimes or whatever is intended the use of those rseats, IMO looks a bit rice!

I was thinking the same thing. Carbon fiber is expensive shit to work with.

I'm on the "get a clutch first" boat, too...but its really none of my business.

I like them, and would get them since my next E30 will have 4 doors and i won't have to worry about reclining seats.

If you get them, please do tell how they work out.

                      Thank ye.

regardless what they look like or if they are full carbon... for a race shell i'd be cautious to buy one that isn't tested by some reputable regulation body (FIA, etc). Could be very dangerous in an accident.

Those look wildly uncomfortable for a street car.

Those one piece seats are often referred to as quarter-mile seats.

Because after about a quarter-mile, you want the hell out of them.

I am, as well as others, completely comfortable in a fixed back seat, even for a daily driver. Last time I was in a fixed back was for a 2.5 hour trip, and I even fell asleep in it (passenger).

I think I am going to end up buying Sparco Sprints, do to the safety concerns like Cramer said.

And Beej, they are the same seats as the auction you posted.

I have never really wanted to face up and do the work because in the past I have always been back and forth on wanting to sell my car or not. I have finally decided to truly stick to it, and stick a stick in it.
