Are there any threads on 325iX swaps or turbos?

New to the e30 and searching for a 325iX. It crossed my mind. Has anyone swapped motors in the 325iX or turboed it? IF that is even possible?

    TIA, Steve

isn't there a problem with the trans-axles being too weak to handle the power of the turbo?

Hey Steve, I know of one local for sale on the cheap. It isn't pretty but it could be a good winter driver.

                    To elaborate,
From an engineering standpoint, factor of safety's are built in to all those driveline components. They could easily handle a good 10psi of turbo or a swap. I had 300rwhp going to my stock 325 supereta driveshaft and no problems.

If you're worried about twisting a half-shaft, then before you do a swap or turbo, Draw a straight line parallel to and right on the centerline of the half-shaft in a white-out type marker. Then drive it for a while. Check the white line you once drew and look at it longitutional and see if the line had curved at all. That would show you that twisting of the shaft had occurred, even a very minute amount (Assuming you drew the line perfectly straight with a straightedge.
