    The new 3-Series?

I BELIEVE these are renderings. I'm holding out on a final opinion until I see a coupe, but this doesn't look to bad...

    - BMW wants to keep top-position
    - The larger and revolutionary new E90 will may arrive next year
    - It will share +50% parts with the 1-series, like 4cyl engines, chassis, transmission, steering wheel-column, electrical parts, etc
    - It will be available with turning lights, radar-cruise control
    - Engines will gaine power, with 6cyl engine's with direct injection, all diesels will have a particel-filter,
    - M3 will have V8, 400Bhp
    - There will be a powerful 3.0l diesel with 272Bhp
    - Wagons will arrive 6 months after sedan, coupe spring 2006, cabrio 2007 with a canvas-roof (high-tech but still traditional)

    AND...

Here's the engine of the 272 hp 3.0L turbo deisel.

The front is ok, but the rest makes me want to hit Bangle with a spiked baseball bat.

The headlights are at least a little better than the new 5-Series.

And I actually really like the rear-end.

I actually like the way that one looks except the lower fascia needs to be reworked.Car is prety agressive then justs stops there. Now if only they would keep the weight down AND NOT increase the overall size.I read that this new 3 series in 4dr form is going to be almost as big as the E39 5 series. All these new BMW's are just getting too damn big!

I'm not too impressed with any of the new designs. Not due to appearance, but performance. They just don't seem to be putting out the driver's cars they used to. Either that or every other car company has caught up, but I doubt this. Their focusing too much on electronics and the like, rather than pure performance. I guess they're no longer interested in being the ultimate driving machine, and are now focusing on being the ultimate gizmo machine.
Driving is the only way to go faster....

Which is why I like this over the 5. I dont need flamboyant cars, just nice ones.
                  Im now E30less.

Has anyone here driven the new 5? I hear that it is amazing to drive and I'm just curious.

I think it looks pretty awesome! I really dig the rear end, but I could go either way on the kidney.

Thats not what you should wow about, expect torque to be in the high 300's to mid 400's. BMW diesels are monsters. My dad's got a 330d in Germany right now, that thing has torque out the freakin ass.
