      Seriously ^

If you don't want to change your own oil, go to a reuatable shop.

on a side note: the local Jiffy lube in SF just closed last week.

that is terrible. I saw a same sort of thing about a car wash on TV only they were not getting wait they payed for (like a wax or something). They were also cleaning change and personal belongings out of cars

            Wow, gee that's surprising. /SASCASM!!

LOL, that's my car right there, the red one... what a lying sack of shit. All of those repair shops shouldn't even be in business, but they are because they make such quick and easy money off people that are dumb enough to bring business there and dont need to pay on their end a fair amount of time it seems, to actually perform the service itself.

I love it when people come up with a lie on the spot when confronted in person. They always try to run away or sling more BS. this kind of reminds me of NBC DATELINE where they catch sexual predators

I have little respect for people who take their car to any "drive-thru-fix-it" establishment. But lets face it, the grand majority dont know shit/dont give a fuck about their cars.

I would never go to a place like that in the first place. But I guess the point of the story is that if you do, have cameras all around your car so you make sure you get your refund for service that were never done....

And they won't do JUST an oil change if you don't feel like disposing of the oil yourself. They want to get that $80 out of you to check your fluids/tires.

thats funny man i used to work at jiffy lube for a couple months (sadly) but we actually did what we were supposed to do. I personally would never take my car there but not all of them are that bad some are pretty reputable but the quality of the stuff they use is still disgustingly poor either way for those who go there all i can say is do it urself :tsk:

Man, that's like the polar opposite of my shop where we do repairs that we never charge people for... Kind of explains the fiercely loyal customer base my boss has developed though.
