Es gibt eine Partei in meiner Hose, und Ihnen ist eingeladen!

    Are you female?

I know exactly what I am looking for, that is why I am asking if anyone out there knows of a schrick cam not a cat-cam cam. I won't be running cats because January first Texas no longer requires it. I am running Borla exhaust 2.5 straight from the header. I have had my e for 10 years and am looking to build the engine my one of my best friends and I planned years ago when we were at Wyotech together before he went to BMW STEP school. I now work with his Hazet tools due to his untimely death and will be building the motor an M20 that was planned. I am using the i head from his last E30 for the top end and the e bottom end from my e. I tried to source some pistons for the job and they just didn't make the grade. So it looks like I will be saving to buy some customs or trying to source another good used set. I had money but I was T-boned in my scoob so now I am scrambling and using my money possibly for just an e motor, wiring harness, and computer for sale. Anywho, I am looking for pistons (Alpina, Racing Dynamics, or Korman would be great and if you ever see them for sale let me know), and a schrick cam. I have a mass air sensor from a 540i and one from a 328is. I want to learn about mapping from anyone willing to give some pointers, and then tune my ride. Then in a few years when my nephew turns sixteen I will give him the bimmer and get ready to build one, with him and his brother, for his brother who is four years his minor.

do a search in the classifieds, i remember seeing some selling 2 different cat cams for a m-20 not that long ago.
since no one else has said it yet i will. there are other mods that will gain you more hp for your $ than just a cam swap. have you added headers yet? jimC chip? panel filter or a cone with a heat shield? bigger injectors? cat back? even a simple GOOD through tune-up to make sure everything is running as good as it can and properly. bigger cams can, and will, make an improvment, but if you do just the cam it can lead to drivabilty problems or just a disappointment in the results. remember that you are trying to get more in the engine with the cam, optimize it with the filter, give it the most gas (bigger injectors) i can proppperly use, let it burn it as best as it can and in the proper amount (jimC chip), and give it the best way out of the engine (headers and cat back, maybe remove the cat if you can get away with it). not trying to be a dick about it, just letting you know if you are new to engine tuning. all of these can be found either on here or ebay usually used and cheaply insted of buying new, do all this with the cam swap and you will be happier.
btw thew bigger the cam you put in it, the hight you move the powerband, and m-20s get real unhappy being wrung out to 7K to make power all the time.

I called them and they said they do not use Schrick billets they source billets from Germany and then grind them. So I am going to keep trying to find a schrick for now and if I can't find one soon I will have them grind me one.

I will take them. The pistons are going back to the seller. I just wonder if he knew what he was selling or if he is just clueless.

Does anyone know anyone with a 272, 284, or 288 schrick cam for sale? I don't want to spend $424 for a cam if I don't have to. As you can tell I am having a hard enough time finding people that sell good parts anyway.

ah, that's the problem.. you're not supposed to bang them out. if you disassemble the head properly you don't have to use a hammer at all..

I have sourced parts to send to my machinist. If they are within spec there is no reason not to. I got the rocker are shafts for free.
