Questions about bentley manual

I was talking to a mechanic the other day and he was telling me that bentley manuals were only made for e30's until 1990. I was wondering if this was true and also how much information in the manual would be the same for a 91 318is. thanks.

There isn't much in the e30 bentley on the DOHC 1.8L, you might want to pick up an e36 bentley for extra coverage.
