It's not like it wouldn't be possible to do the same, only with a E21.
Duh. You can do that with any car.

But Josh hasn't been talking about an e21 for god knows how long.

I know you've already made up your mind but, DON'T. I've got an e21 sitting in the garage. It doesn't even compare to an e30. It feels more disconnected to the road than the e30. I'm not sure about all e21s, but mine's a P.O.S.
Stick with the e30 maing

I haven't already made up my mind. Bill, and the rest of the guys are right. My dream is the badass E30, not the project E21. That's why I asked here, to help tip me to one side or the other. These guys are right, I've been eating, sleeping and breathing E30's for 2 years now, I'm not about to change up. It was just one of those things that came along at such a good deal, it was hard to resist.

Why don't you just buy an 84 318i then? They only weigh 2360lbs, cost about the same if you poke around a bit, and all your saved up crap will fit right away.

Common sense- It's the new 'gifted'

Becuase while I'm not concerned with tons of horsepower, an M10 is way less than I would like to have. I'd really like to just find a nice condition 325es or late model 325i. late model 325i preferably, since I would rather have plastic bumpers. But if I find a nice 325e or eS, I'll probably go with that. I want the 6 cylinder.

                      I love my E21.. but..
My advice to anyone here thinking about going a route other than E30..buy an E28. They have sooo much potential.
If I had it all to do over again, I would buy an E28 and not my 323i.

no way!! the handling and comfort(ergonomic) e30 owns over those ones, e21 and e28, IMO!!!

If anyone is interested in the car, let me know, and I will talk to the guy. He's going to sell it for that price to anyone, not just me.

Tell that to Mr. Korman started last at LRP Monday and moved up 8 positions in race with his old E21.

                                Or Steve Fitzgerald.
