    boost or swap?

Swap or turbo? Im most likely aquiring an obd1 e36 325is in good running and driving condition for dirt cheap($1k), my current e30 is a 87 325e with only 126k miles that needs a paintjob. The question is: should i destroy the e36, use its 5 lug, and swap in its 170k m50 in or keep the 325is as a nice daily driver and turbo the 325e which has i cam and valvesprings.

I vote for the latter. I'm not a fan of e36 suspension on e30's. Messes up geometry terribly.

If you already are going the 2.7 stroker route, turbo, as long as the e30 is manual to begin with.

boost. Since your option is an M50, which doesn't even have that much power over the stock M20 anyways. Especially since you're using the ETA motor.
