Listen to the docs as has been said, you only have one chance to heal right and you don't want to mess it ;)

after i got out of surgury on my right leg, they told me it would take at least 3 months before i would be walking on it again. well u know what! FUCK THEM! its only been a bit over a month, and i feel like a champ! Just yeasterday i was still fearing not being able to walk for like another 2 months, as i was told not to put any weight on that leg. so today i had a doctor appt and i was told it was healing very well, and i could start to put weight on it and try walking. and hell yea it felt good... but not for long.

i have my left knee surgury on tuesday. and man its gona suck. i found out today that the knee has 7 major tendons in it. and i ripped 4 of them. its not gona be a simple orthoscopic surgury like they once thought. i get one huge insision on the outside of the knee (like another 20 staple thing) then 2 on top of the knee (around 7 stiches each) then they are gona to do ortho also. im gona have 3 different holes drilled in the knee. 2 screws... and a washer. and i get a tendon graft from some doner. then i get stiches INSIDE the knee, on some of the cartlege.

          so fuck my legs...

          damnit.

(im also pissed im missing beachweek for the surgury :letitout: )

Take a deep breath and look at the pictures of your car. You should feel happy to even have the chance to walk again (not to mention being alive).

wow dude.... i haven't been on the boards much lately, but i'm glad i swung by. i'm so glad you're doing well, bro. For me, i'd actually keep my spirits up to keep pics of the car around. It's a symbol that if you can live through that, you can live through alot.

I actually saw this thing on TLC the other day about WWII. it was about the battle of Midway. There was an old Navy Vet. on it & he said that after the war he went though alot of depression. Sometimes he would go to his basment where he had an old lifejacket like he wore for some god-awful long time while bobbing in the Pacific waiting to be rescued. He said he would put it on in times of deep depression & it would remind him of the fact that if he could live through almost a week floating in the middle of an ocean covered in diesel fuel & oil from the ships that were distroyed that he could get through anything.

Glad you're keepin your chin up, bro

                          glad to hear it!

o, and the other day i saw a program on TLC about car wrecks and such. it was a great program, and there was one part where they mentioned that if you are in a head on collison going 60mph, that is the same as falling off of a 8 story building.

ouch. i cannot belive im not hurt worse. im so happy my legs were the only thing that went through any major trauma.
