    Fraud help

unfortunetly some immature 18 year old kids are putting my 325is on craigs list. Leaving my home phone number and putting false information about my car. i filed a fraud complaint to craigslist and they deleted it but those mischivious brats put another one up. does anyone know if i can take legal action to put this to rest? they've also visted my house in the middle of the night and put wax all over my brothers 88 325is writing "fag" and whitening out the windows.

    this is the ad: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/car/512602067.html

    help please??

last time someone put a false ad under my name, and Craigslist did nothing, I went to the police and they tracked it down to the IP address and arrested the person. they also give me the option to file charges against the person.

writing derogatory stuff on your car is probably a serious offense. I say call the cops, and get a gun.

He lives in the bay area, of all the places to have a gun, that aint it.

You need to contact the police dude. What are you waiting for? How have these people gotten your number? This is serious shit. Think about it, internet fraud, phone calls, vandalism. Shit, calling someone a fag in SF is probably a felony, drinking soda with sugar soon will be.

Make the fucking cops finish their doughnuts and get to work.

thank you all for the suggestions.. they have been very helpful. i was wondering if the police could still track the IP address even if the ad has been deleted? (thanks to the e30 community for flagging it =]).

See if there is a cache somewhere of that specific ad...although doubtful Craigslist might be able to help you out if you tell them the seriousness of the situation, and may be able to bring it up, although I doubt they keep records of all the ads put up during a given time period...

I would call the local police. I know if some put something I own and was sneaking around my home there would be issues. These punk kids obviously have it out for you/.
