    Got a Nice Turbonetics!!! Pics..!

Ok, since most people said me don't use the bigg T4, I ofund this turbonetics in a local speed turbo shopp and bought it, it is used but is in perfect condition.

Some differences between this one and the old T3/T4 is tha tthe cold hosuing a bit larger, more important the wheel or compressor is larger and has 7 vanes instaed of 8 like th eolder with a diameter of 54mm inducer(front part) with a base diameter of 76mm.

The rear is .63 instaed of .48 as the previous using the same wastegate(internal) , the rear wheel is about 53mm of diameter and as you can see tha vanes are way different than the T3 standar, a lot more strights wich means mnmore exit flow!!

Also noticed that the wheel/shaft is a lot lighter than the T3 and the compressor vanes are lighter or thinner than the t3/t4 tough....

You can comapre these photos here

    T3/T4

    vs

    Turbonetics

T3/T4 rear, super restricted wheel/turbine on the LEFT!!!

vs Turbonetics super free flow wheel!!

Also machined the exit of the housing a bit for better exit flows..

    What are your toughts? :D

i think the new one looks like a good choice... definetly better flowing design.... but you are saying that it is bigger?

yes, it's bigger, the rear tapped or what ever is called is the same as the previous T3/T4 as you can see in the last pic and before the last pic.

But, the turbine ( hot wheel) is larger diameter, has different form/type vanes for better flow and is lighter, the A/R ont he hot isde is .63 wich is larger than my previous T3/T3 wich is .48A/R

The front also is a bit larger, and the compressor is bigger than the previous T4.

All this with a nice wirght reduction for fast spool!! :D

T3 60 trim, .60 compressor housing and .48 exhaust housing with a stage 3 turbine wheel....i feel the .48 exhaust housing is a big restriction.

i wouldnt mind upgrading to a t4 compressor wheel, whatever wheel that TCD is using as he has been having so much success

I had the same .48 in the back with a standar T3 turbine, I felt the car so restricted, that's why I'm upgrading with a bigger unit.

Dunno what Trim is this one but it has 7 vanes instaed of 8 like the old one and thinner blades tough in result of a light weight compressor/turbine
