Pics of San Diego Meet 06/13/04 - NEW VIDEO (page 3)
Jason has an M52 and his car was built before trent's episode with a concrete wall. There were a lot of nice specimens at the event.
My favorite had to be the S50 with only 3rd gear and small case 4.10. Nothing like a nice powerful engine held together with zip ties.
The guy with that Hartge H26 also has a Hartge H27 baur. The baur is painted purple, but other than that it is pretty cool. He also has a gold color Alpina 2.7 that is also in decent but in less than perfect shape. All three are very cool grey market cars deserving of respect.
All in all, it was an enjoyable meet with a nice variety of older BMW's (Neil excluded for the time being). It was nice to see great examples of the older 5ers too.
I suppose that, given my styling choices, comparisons to Trent's car would be inevitable. For the record, none of the parts on my car came from his car and, while similar, they are not the same. The M-Tech II wing is different and the Superleggeras are 16s (I don't do 17s). Nevertheless, thank you for the compliments. I suppose it is time to post some pics and menntion everything done to the car.
I was very impressed with the quality of the E30s (and other BMWs) at the meet. It is always fun to admire the efforts and creativity (COUGH...Marco...COUGH) of other enthusiasts. There were plenty of variations on styling and performance (including four M/S5x cars). Thanks again to Brian for organizing the event and feeding all of us!
**Hint: There is another meet and an actual DRIVE (Bryson won't be in charge of this drive :P) in the works for later this summer.**
alright, well if you want to see the video send me a email or PM and i'll forward you the link. Maybe some that have it can pass it via IM or something.
Jason has the silver can with the 2.8 M52 OBD1 with mods
Bill has the red/black car with the M50 2.5 from an E34
Bryson has the white car with the M50.
Who has the e30 with the 3.0 S50 and half assed heatshield?
And what the fuck is up with the e30 pickup? That's crazy!
