And you think you know how to build cars.

This is brants dads buddies car that he build from scratch.

I just saw the website now. Its a replical of a 1937 cord. I saw the car in person once or twice and it was pretty amazing how good it looked. I didn't realize until now how much time this guy has invested into this car. Pretty much EVERYTHING was done from scratch, I can't believe he even pulled it off.

    Thought I would share:

Check the site out, I read a lot of it, amazing how he did it. I just tossed in a few key pics posted below.

Describes one man's journey to build a Cord car from scratch. Includes a short history of the Classic Cord automobile, the engineering and design of the home built cord, and many photos.

Oh, he has an e30 vert too ;)

I guess he's got some kind of talent but that car is not anything I'd be proud to drive.

Whether you like the car or not, the guy definitely deserves respect for taking the time to put an ENTIRE car together and be able to drive it around. I mean the guy even used wood. I don't have the patience to put a precut wooden chair together!

Yeah but I totally agree. There has to be at least one nice post in one of these threads and I figured that mine would be it.

i guess everyone likes something. there are guys who are nuts for every kind of car. that guy has a lot of skill and determination. i cant imagine the amount of work involved. sometimes im overwhelmed taking a car apart, painting and rebuilding everything and reassembling. a restoration is nothing compared to that. if he put that effort into something we thought was cool it would be sweet

The wood is just a template.

                    He's quite the craftsman...

All that work and it looks like he's running cheap american racing wheels w/ white letter tires.

I think it's pretty neat, but those wheels are not period correct at all - they look like something off a late 70's camaro.

Cool project, and it is probably a blast to drive. Those wheels are horrendous, though.
