that would be cool, I considered doing some sort of ghost/cf flag on my hood, but at that point I cared more about driving my car again than what it looked like :p

Hey, if money were no object, I think that is a really sweet idea man. It would be a really subtle touch that you could pull off flawlessly to make it look almost factory. I wonder if anybody with an M3 has done it? I bet a lot of people with other makes have done it.

it's a $2k E30 tops with a HIGH sunk cost. it's not logical to further increase your """""investment""""" by going extremely pricey custom job just for looks.

I thought you were good with money...

huh? where do you get that a touring is worth $2k? nice E30s are going for $5-6k, and with DOT tourings being rare that's at least another $2k premium. I guess cause you drive a $2k track rat that's what you think all E30s are? (not that there's anything wrong with a track rat)

If you really want one cheap then just import your own and I can gaurantee that you spend at least $15K just importing yours.
meh. Figured it wasn't free + import. I figure most E30s these days average $2k overall. But that certainly isn't an E46 touring he has there. It's an E30 with high sunk costs, which he is planning on making higher.

Although he may never sell it, he has to convince his insurance carrier it's worth $15k or come an accident all he has is a parts car worth $500 (maybe $1k if you count the wheels and they are still good.)

                      wahts that supposed to mean?

and i dont view my car -any car- as an investment. if they were, i wouldn't mod them. you don't get mod money back, and cars depreciate rapidly. if cars were an investment i'd be leasing a base model civic every 2 years.

i thought it would be something different, and interesting. A cf hood is prob ~$450, and fenders would probably go for about that for a pair. There are a lot of people on this board who have spent a lot more than $900 on frivolous mods

Some cars are like real estate, location is everything. Would you pay more for a log cabin in the city or a condo in the woods? Probably not. Cold accord happens to have a condo in the big apple, a carton of cigarettes in the big house, a gallon of water in the desert, the last condom in a Brazilian whore house so to speak. His touring is only valued more in the U.S. due to it's current location and the market associated with it. Being scarcity and most importantly desirability. I can't tell you haw many people tried to tell me how rare there POS where which made them more valuable. Its only worth what someone is willing to pay for it and in the U.S. the people who are truly in the market for one are willing to pay alot for them. Word!!!!
