I own a 318i (twin cam) and have been borrowing my sister's 325e for about a week now

I'm enjoying it quite a bit, and the gas mileage is excellent! You won't regret buying (a good) one.
Not that I care, of course.

      well thank you all guys.

so why isnt there any horsepower in the higher r3v range?

also, compared to the 325i, whats so different?

im gonna keep searching the thread till i can find some more info. thanks again and keep it comming!

i believe it is the valve springs, and just the airflow all together that limit the power in the upper range. but idk, mine seems to quit pulling hard at like 4300rpm or so, but from like 1750-4000 is wonderful. i love my eta, plus not very many people want them, so yu can pick em up cheap for the most part.

It's because there is no high rev range.

They are nice because you have a 2.7 bottom end to start with. Not a terrible DD motor stock, and when you throw 885 or 731 "i" components at it you can build a hot little motor.

Thats certainly possible but why not just buy an i, it has i head in it already?

from everything i have gathered...an I head, I intake, I throttle body, and run a I computer...and your set...but i dont believe it would be worth it. IF your gonna go through that trouble just build a 2.7I motor.
I would honestly just chip it, and do all your typical stuff like timing belt, and slam it.

not really sure, they all seem to advertise the same gains for our etas, but i would say the Markd, or the Jim Conforti would be your best. As soon as i get another 300 dollars or w/e they cost...im getting one

The "i" doesnt have the 2.7 bottom end (torque).
