    Convertible Power Roof

Need to ask a question here. A friend has a 1989 E30 325 convertible. His top is with a manual mechanism. Anyone here ever retrofit the electric roof? If yes, where can i get it.
    Thanks :D

last I checked a power roof is more trouble than its worth and most just convert them to manual because the cost of getting them repaired and synchronized is horrible

Am I the only one who has never had a problem with their top

Maybe I'm just the luckiest guy in the world, but I've had my power top e30 325ic for almost 5 years now and I've NEVER had a problem with it. When I bought the car used, I needed to replace the rear window, the elastic straps that run along each side and all the microswitches. Since then, the top has always worked perfectly, no exaggeration either.

you are lucky. That one bar that connects the frame top to the motor is prone to fail.

Ditto, the power top is way to much to get working, I need a whole new frame, straps, and some misc. parts to get mine working fully.
