That TX plate is not TXDOT issued... I can guarantee that. It was made over the border for the owner. It is illegal and if you come across the wrong cop he can/will ticket you for it.
That being said... my bud who got a couple of sets asked a cop about it and was told that 98% of cops PROBABLY won't pull you over for it. It wouldn't be worth the risk for me...
Where can I find one of these???

here in germany i can go to any vehicle registration place and have anything I want made on a german plate.- not registered(more for a "show" thing, plus german truck drivers always have them in their windshields with their names. so to get a euro plate with your U.S. plate numbers would be easy. but I am 100% sure it is not legal. as well as that texas plate.
and U.S. soldiers are allowed to run the european forces plate for 30-60 days in almost all states in the u.s. when they return from overseas. my buddy has had his on his mini cooper for years now in NC..Leave a comment:

I met a guy with a sweet 930 who had euro plates for illinios, he said it was legal there so it may be a state by state deal.Leave a comment:

In Washington I've seen a few Volvo's with euro looking plates, but they didn't look like a WA plate. They were all red with white lettering and "USA" on the side. I did some research, and it appears that those volvos were European purchases, and evidently they are permitted to run those plates for a certain amount of time.
I doubt this is the case with the TX one though.Leave a comment:

Would be cool to have one for atleast the front. slightly more legal than a random euro plate up there.Leave a comment:

That would be pretty sick if states issued plates that size, especially for European cars that have the euro-sized plate area at the rear.Leave a comment:
