i like how miatas look with the factory hard tops, but, not sure on that one, looks pretty good for a one-off. I used to own a supercharged miata from that era...cool stuff.

There were companies in Japan that were converting miatas to coupes, cant remember who did them though, NA's and NB models like this specimen...

Actually that's a Mazda Eunos. Factory coupe from Mazda.

that could very well be. the old NA6 one that I have seen in some old option mag's is a little less polished.

I was thinking the same thing, being as it's in the Mazdaspeed booth. Those are Mustang rear side glass, arn't they?

The modified hardtop is awful. It totally destroys the use of the trunk and it looks like he is going to mold it onto the car so that the trunk can never be accessed again. Good luck getting to the battery/spare tire. This is just going to be one messed up vehicle, I would call it rice.

Miatas are fun cars too. Now that it looks less gay I'm liking it more.

Sounds like you're complaining about one thing and one thing only.

                            The trunk will be accessible.

Obviously it has a few things to be worked out still, this is the first picture of it being recognized as a hardtop on a miata.
I'm sorry, but that has got to be the worst photoshop I've EVER SEEN.

But I like the concept, looks like he's putting alot of work into it. I still wish mazda would have sold a coupe from the factory, I'm not so convinced on their new hardtop convertible contraption.

Did he build out the fender flares in metal before adding the FRP and bondo?
